  • btw, its actually sidechaining what you do, youve could explain what yo actually did.

  • Sidechain is the contrary, this is called GATE, the gate send a signal that enable the sound, the sidechain send a signal that suppress the sound, to make it simple

  • yo my version d is fl studio 8 xxl but it doesnt hav that fruity 3x thing that you picked so it would go with the platnum saw, can you please help

  • Try to select more (ADD) and watch in the generators, maybe the 3xOSC is only disabled

  • Stupid. You could have saved yourself a lot of time and cpu by just giving the sytrus melody the same rhythm as the 3xosc plugin.

  • First of all the stupid are you, because even don't know what the GATING is and why putting the 3xOSC notes on the Sytrus channel it doesn't sound like with the gating, and for the CPU usage, have you ever try the 3xOS?, Is know for his tremendous CPU usage especially with the initial patch, there is a research made by the CERN about that

  • can some1 plz help me.. i am so close to making the "lex luger" sound i just need to know the exact modulation im sorry im up an comin as a producer but i really need help so yea

  • where'd you get all those effects...im in search for some...links perhaps?

  • @UltimateWalrus There are plenty of instances where this technique is useful. This is not one of them. Have fun staying a newb.

  • @Tonloc93 yeah dude i'm a newb but even i know you're fucking retarded

  • @Tonloc93 Actually, he's right. I'll try to explain it a little better. When you gate, it only cuts a streaming sound. Where as playing a sound in that rhythm wil include the attack of the note, and basically reset the sonic progress of that note. Gating gives the sensation of rhythmic muting, and is a very desired effect. Think of it like any other instrument. If you strum a guitar and then strum it again, it doesnt sound the same as strumming a guitar once and then tapping the channel mute.
