Alright you think you can survive without a hierarchy? You think it can be a better world? Have you even seen the nomads that have lived peacefully? Without a government? Do you think they are healthy? Happy? Able? If every person in the world was independent then technology will be at a halt, food will diminish, chaos will occur. Why do you think one person is usually in charge of projects? Nations went through technological golden ages through government control.

do you remember Katrina? Haiti? what did the US government accomplish? NOTHING. They setup the places like occupied countries and didnt solve any of the problems such as hunger or shelter as they said they would. The government is the least efficient system ever created. And unfortunately Darwins theories pertain to animals the human in natural habitat. Social Darwinism is a perversion of science used to justify capitalism...and survival from what threat? losing power? losing wealth?

Without power then any large crisis will have to be dealt with independently without any organized hierarchy. Have you ever heard of "Animals are more peaceful then humans"? Thats wrong cause there is something called survival of the fittest. Violence is the only possible way to survive. That is why it is instinct.

The US checks and balances is based upon that of Great Britains at the time of its founding. Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense of the bankruptcy of said checks and balances. Ironic eh? I do agree that corruption of mind is a big factor; "absolute power corrupts absolutely," if you agree that people given power corrupts them, then the logical solution to that is to do away with the means to attaining power. as for violence we must look at the causes of it and find a solution.

It is not only in a twisted hierarchy. Bandits would steal from nomads and nomads are not dependent on a nation. The corruption of mind lead to more things imaginable. The US is a checks and balance system that gives the freedom for people to speak without much authority. (I am not American and I do not like the US) and violence is still common. It is instilled in songs and movies and all of these things and still more violence.

are those not the fears of todays society? death happens naturally. as for rape, unemployement, and poverty, these are not naturally occurring but rather a result of a twisted society of hierarchy, oppression, and authoritarianism. Those issues you raise are created by this society. and stealing is defined by the values instilled into us and therefore is based on the lie of private property.

The word you need to embrace is Liberty. Freedom of the people from government oppression. Everything I've read suggests the Greek people have become overly dependent on the government, their programs, their handouts, their pension plans, etc. When the people lack liberty the people lose incentive, lose their individuality, lose their reason for existing. Even though the current state of the US is weakened, our founding fathers have provided the world with a blueprint for Liberty.
