What the road looks like from a rider's perspective. Filmed on ALC 7, 2008 (but this is pretty much what it looks like every year). It ends with footage of the candlelight vigil. Everything was shot with just a couple of regular cameras.

Songs are (in order): "Miles to Monterey" - West Indian Girls (I think a Paul Oakenfeld mix). * "Move Any Mountain" - The Shamen. * "Fly With Me" - Susan Bush (a former Rider herself; it's about one of her own experiences while on a Ride). - Bill, Rider 1744.

  • Hi there -- your blog was on the first page of aidslifecycle so i checked out yr video. thank you! i love watching so much of our biking experience. it was up there w/ childbirth as the best, most inspiring, intense, amazing, exhilirating, challenging experience of my life. i'm sorry AIDS has affected yr life so much. i really appreciate that you took your video camera with you on the ride to share with us all. best to you! I won't be riding next year, but contact me for donations if you do.

  • Thanks for that. I had never heard "Fly with Me" tho i had heard of it. I can totally see why when she performed it, she had the entire place in tears.
