Haha....I am INSANE.

I agreed to build a Catbus, not Kittenbus, CATbus. This means 12 legs, quadsuits... and loads of little extras. :)

Questions welcomed, spammers will be fed to the dogs, etc, etc..

  • hello im a huge fan of this and i was wondering if you wouldnt mind me using some of your techniques. first of where did you source the orange fur from? it looks like you had it mailed to you? second, when making the initial part to go over your head what are you using? third on the video catbus construct 2, what is the white material u use to cover the head. thank you

  • @totororoar182 Hi! I don't mind at all. The fur was bought from Swincraft on eBay, who do pretty good prioces for basic fur fabric and have a decent colour selection. The first layer on the head (I assume you mean the blue stuff) is fun foam, which was stitched on to give a base to glue the grey foam to. The white material is duct tape which was used over cling film,and then cut off to give a pattern.

  • That is wonderful! Ok I have a question if you dont mind. What did you cover the head with, I mean what is the blue and green stuff, paper? Im making Appa from avatar the last airbender and I made a chicken wire head but it ended up cutting me. LOL So if you dont mind can I use yours as like an example? The only question I had was what you covered it with first. Before the foam. Oh wait one more question, did you glue the blue stuff and the green plus the foam and did you hot glue the fur?

  • Ah! sorry for the late reply!

    The blue and green stuff is fun foam, the same type of material that a lot of novelty christmas cards have stuck to them. It's easy to sew to the canvas :)

    The blue foam is stitched, th grey foam was hot glued to that (but spray adhesive works better, for reference), the fur was stitched together and then hot glued at the back so it can be removed if I need to fix bits.

  • I saw you there! you looked so hot, but it was so fantastic! you'll need to install airconditioning in the bus next time ;D

  • No kidding! that was not a fun ride by the end of the day, I am glad they put the air conditioning on for sunday though. :) And thank you! :D

  • @thessie oh thats great thank you so much very very helpful. on one of them though i meant the head brace bit before u add the fun foam. its the main structure of the head i cant figure out the material. thanks

  • Depends on the size of the sheet, I used 1 or 2 A3 ish sheets for catbus, as a lot of the infill was made of that thin blue foam. It's not an expnsive material so buy in at least one extra sheet just in case. :}

  • I saw you at the London expo about a year ago and you inspired me and my friends to make multi-person catbus with your amazing cosplay.:)

  • le gasp! and your going to london from there?
