Cool thanks for sharing your experience! We plan on being there at space view park next monday and we are so excited!! I will take your advice and get there early.

It was my first attempt and by speaking to people we were lucky as it is often postponed. I live in London but will take the kids again soon as it was a great experience.

Wayyyy too far. I need to be on the causeway or KSC visitor complex.

Someone's mom was complaining while watching the launch?

The closer to the water's edge the better, that way no one stands in your way. However there are great views all over the park, so once you'll get there you'll find a good spot.

There are 2 views in this video. Which one is more accurate, the closer one or the farrrr away one?

Close is with the zoom.
The far shoot is what it looks like in person.
Still cool, even though you are far away, but I would love to be closer in person.

Our launch was at 11 am and we got there at about 7 a.m. and we got to park right there at the park.
Give yourself at least two to three hours and you should be fine. This was a once in a lifetime expereince for me, so going so early didn't bother me.
It is a pretty location with bathrooms and a lot of people to talk to if you want. Or bring a book and find a spot in the shade.
Our lanuch was on a weekday, so a Saturday launch 5/31 will have more people coming.
Good luck!

That was such a great day. I'd love to be there for another launch, but I live in Califorina, so who knows if that will happen or not.
