  • if the praetorians had held their line, this would have looked different. at the end i don't have any clue about who won... fucking retard

    retarded tactics

a zoom out would have helped, also...

  • @omglollmao123

    they have the same skills

  • @sushanalone alt+rightclick on unit

  • @persianparsal hold alt key and attack as usual, you can also use this to make skirmish troops go hand to hand and charge .

  • @sushanalone how can you switch weapons then?

  • Well you shud have used the Cataphract alternate attack for close melee. it changes the weapon from lance to mace that is armour peneterting and chews up almost any heavy infantry or cavalry in the game , save the elephants. if you dont use mace against praetorians its a waste of cataphracts.

  • @dardo1201 yes the byzantines copied in whole the persian/Sassanid tradition of Cataphracts and horse archers like all romans did. they were good at borrowing good tactics and troops from others, gladius and the shield being borrowed from the spanish barbarian infantry.

  • the combat physics of this game need improving :P

what's the point of having cataphracts if they need to stop in mid-charge just to engage in spear-fencing with the enemy. That's behaving exactly like infantry -,-

  • Well, beside the point, Cataphracts are achers, lancers, swordsmen, macemen all wrapped up into one. Firing their bows into enemy ranks, forcing them to spread out made them more susceptible to charges. They're like heavily armored (including barding on horses) Samurai.

  • This is completely retarded, Rome was not know for their cavalry, why would throw them against the Ancient worlds strongest? If you had half a brain you would have looked to Macedon for their Haetori. They were a sight to behold on the fields of combat.
