This quick review video has some additional info on the Springfield Armory M1A. It's available in many versions - but I wanted to highlight the variations in the walnut stocks, show the fiberglass hand guards, and a few other minor things. Not a lot of new info but while I had everything setup I decided to add another video for those viewers that just love these rifles. I'm sure there is a version you will like. M1As have a great reputation, are a very useful rifle, and are a well made. Home defense, hunting or just sport shooting - it can handle it!! Hope you enjoy this one. Thanks for watching!

  • @veilofpaya No I don't.

  • @nashi55 well poo. any who hows your rifle holding up? the only reason i want a chrome lined barrel is because i want as much life out of my barrel as possible. im aware that they choose not to chrome line them for the sake of acurace. any clue on the barrel life excpectancy

  • @veilofpaya Never seen a rd number.... For my use, it will last a long time, don't use it that much.

  • you wouldnt happen to know if they are banned in NY ?

  • P.S. They now have the lighter polymer stocks, easing up on its weight. This truly is a rugged rifle that can reach out and touch someone. ;-)

  • I can't say enough about the M1, it's simply a treasure and your lucky to have one. I have to wonder if the magazine will accommodate the size of a .270 or .280 rounds? If so, I'd be inclined to trade out the barrel. and put a quality long range scope. I say the .270 because it has a much faster and flatter trajectory for long range with more stability, and is cheaper to shoot too.

  • @veilofpaya

I think that you can buy an old gi issue barrel and put it on, not sure though.

  • @nashi55 Indeed. That is the best way to do it......Appreciate your videos

  • @M1ASniper Did it the old fashioned way - I saved up.
