Before his speech at The Heritage Foundation, Senator Hatch sat down to talk about why Medicaid reform is needed, how he would do it and why it matters in the context of the debt crisis facing America. Hatch also used the opportunity to attack Obamacare, legislation that made the Medicaid problem even more challenging.

@3martijns You got it absolutely backwards! The 3/5 clause gave the South, with less population MORE representation in the House of representatives! Yet these people had NO right as citizens. It gave the South More representatives to keep slavery intact! It was a pro slavery document! The only anti-slavery document in the Constitution was 13th Amendment!

@jesushatesyoutoo If blacks had been counted as 1 whole, the Slave States would have Much More Representation and Influence in the Federal Government, so would Discriminate More in Legislation!

Orrin Hatch is a disgusting person that clearly doesn't believe anything he says. "Obamacare hasn't worked", well gee, Sherlock, it hasn't even really started yet. Then he mentions socialized medicine for absolutely no reason, but it's in his GOP talking points memo so he has to throw it out there to raise suspicion.
You know, what he said sounds an awful lot like rationing. But hey, as long as the states can manage it more independently!
