Brown's Antiques, Winnetka Antiques Show

Bob Brown of Brown's Antques, who bases out of Columbus, IN, shows off one of the pieces he brought to the show. It's a chest of drawers that dates from the 1830s and is a catalog of the high skills of a master cabinetmaker.

Mary Kay Burke of Coldwell Banker's Winnetka North office and M.L. Jast of the Winnetka Community House hosted and guided me around on the first day of the Winnetka Antiques Show, which runs through Sunday, March 9..

The show draws more than 50 dealers from around the country, and from Europe, who exhibit pieces ranging in price from the tens of dollars to the tens of thousands, and provide mini-seminars on their areas of expertise
