Yes, I did know that the Lumière Brothers invented what is now considered cinema, and that they were French.

Haven't you heard yet that cinema was invented by the French Lumière brothers? Look for "arrivee d'un train a la Ciotat". This is the first movie *ever* made. It was in 1894.

Gaumont's really that old? 116 years old. Wow! It was before the start of the 20th century. It's even older than Paramount Pictures the oldest existing movie movie in the US. Paramount's going be 100 years old next year.

I didn't see the number "100" sadly. But at least I know it's from the 100th anniversary.
