sorry guys, I know I have not posted a videos in a little while, but I figured I'd go see if any salamanders were out and active at a local park right by my house and turned up 4 northwetern slamanders, a long-toed salamander and a red- sided garter. As you probably know from the video all of the salamanders were released unharmed. Enjoy!

  • Nice man those are super common down in washington!! Check out my vid i found 9 under 1 board!! Also a late winter snake!

  • @snickersrocks1000 I saw that, I agree the population is definitely a lot thicker down there. Still to cold for snakes up here, I managed to find a frozen northwestern salamander last week in about 2 hours of searching but that's it.

  • Looks like you had a lot of fun !! I liked the red leg,but salamanders are always cool.

  • @bigboy3293 Thank You! That particular species of frog is quite common, that's why I didn't spend much time on it, it was the long-toed salamander that I wasn't expecting to see.

  • I had a whole batch of long-toed salamanders hatch on my pool cover. 69 of them! 66 of them successfully morphed and released. Kept one because he didn't morph till almost Nov and it was way too cold out, I was scared of his chances. Not that I mind keepign the cute little guy.

  • @lipsoverpoison Awesome man! I love long toed salamanders too, and that was nice of you to look after the little guy!
