@4against1 buddy rich is the most amazing drummer travis barker is just a for show drummer that everybody thinks is cool but in reality he plays shit that that anyone can learn in an hour there is no reason to bring his name up in any drum video ever he isnt even that good of a drummer..

@wyzyrddrummer Watch Buddy's videos for 1970 53 yrs old and 1978 (at the Hague) when he was 61 years old. Amazing stuff. Even at 70 playing with Frank Sinatra he kicked butt. I recommend that serious drummers watch every video they can watch to see how this guy's career developed, his style; his technique, etc. If you can play only 40% of what Buddy could play you can copy virtually any drummer playing today.

@Boe1771 Yes, there were times he did that. He also played an incredible double bass drum solo one time. Why he never adopted that like Louie Bellson did I don't know. But one thing is for certain he could do anything he wanted on the drums.

look up tony royster jr on david letterman playing this same song. i hate to say it but tony blows this away easily. i watched buddy since the early 1960's and he ran out of ideas and every solo was the same .
