Someone knows something about the accusations of pedophilia some time ago against the old Pete?

in 2003 he was set on on a list in the uk with registered sexual offenders, because he visited an internet page containing child pornograhy. He statet to have used it for his investigations on his campaign against child maltreatment. He didn´t download any pictures. The entry should have been deleted after five years.

@Rabidsenses: You really want to play this game? The very first Marshall Amp was designed for Pete's specifications. He built the very first home studio in England. He also plays saxophone, bass, drums, and every guitar ever thrown at him, as well as banjo (listen to the solo on Squeeze Box). He pioneered the synthesizer, and everything he achieved he did completely alone. Gilmour collaborated on most everything he did, and any lyrics he ever wrote are miles behind Pete's.

Here's the thing: you're wrong about Gilmour. Gilmour plays bass, drums, saxophone, every guitar every thrown at him, lap steel, and has even contributed synth and keyboard on his albums. True, he is missing the tuba and viola but I wouldn't want to hear Townsend attempt them.

I feel so uncomfortable watching this vastly overrated "musician."

Now David Gilmour, there's a musician . . . though why he would hang out with someone of Townsend's pathetic ilk is beyond me. Thankfully that working relationship appears to be over. I mean, if Gilmour wants to have a beer with Townsend that's fine. But for Gilmour to presume to play guitar with a man who is so god damn overrated as a guitar player was always a little hard to watch. And Townsend's lyrics? . . . ouch!!!!
