Astronomers are finding many worlds now in a category of worlds called Super-Earths, which are between 2 and 10 times the mass of our own Earth. A world called HD156668b is the second smallest after Gliese 581 e. Some scientists think such worlds could be more susceptible to forming the conditions for life because their cores are hot and are conducive to volcanism and plate tectonics.

  • they sould make movie of alien planet. Will better than all sci-fi!

  • Woooooow^^

  • @vhfgtiuoiu Probably. It's fairly huge, and will pass closer than communication satelites. It will most certainly be visible with a telescope or binoculars. So will the asteroid that's going to pass 280km from Earth whis November.

  • @vhfgtiuoiu

Re- read said article, I apologise it appears that Elenin is a comet and, Apophis is the asteroid test subject.

  • @Helge129

It seems you have mow knowledge than I. Is this asteroid not going to be visible sept 26???? .... The article I read did not say what year perhaps you could fill me in. This is a genuine question as you appear more clued up than myself.

  • @vhfgtiuoiu light years away? Comet? You sir, are truely uninformed.

Firstly it's an asteroid. Which will pass by very close to Earth in 2029, and return 2036. If in 2029 it passes through a gravitational keyhole, it Will hit Earth in 2036 - unless destroyed. Firstly Lightyears away would mean in another solar system - ours is a few lightmonths in radius at best.

  • @vhfgtiuoiu "Not every waving flag needs a breeze -- at least not in space. When astronauts were planting the flagpole they rotated it back and forth to better penetrate the lunar soil (anyone who's set a blunt tent-post will know how this works). So of course the flag waved! Unfurling a piece of rolled-up cloth with stored angular momentum will naturally result in waves and ripples -- no breeze required!" - NASA's explanation in the article "The great moon hoax" on the NASA page.

  • @Helge129

Also we now know NASA are planning to destroy ( sorry out off course) a comet light years away. one in 250,00 of hit hitting in 2036.

22 million miles away but they seem intent on wasting billions getting rid, HMMMMMM .

Which one of us is truly ignorant? maybe you, maybe me.

  • @Helge129

Key word THEY, and exactly when did they give this explanation???? Enlighten me.

  • @vhfgtiuoiu Keep in mind you are quite ignorant. They HAVE explained why the flag is waving. They put a horizontal bar into the flag, and the rotation impulse of them turning the flagpole left and right, and mounting the horizontal bar, transfered of course also to the flag. Result: A waving flag in vacuum.
