@Dystopiologist 2 peter 1:20 Is about what a prophet says comes from God. . not how to interpret the bible. Prophets get their information from God as its source. People need to interpret scripture with guidance. but the final choice is personnel since each person is judged as a person. No group judgments by God at the final judgment, it will happen one person at a time. I have believe what I believe not as others believe. I am open to church teaching but I will only do what I think
Quote from Calvin... Does this square with what the video says about private interpretation?
4.3.4 Institutes of Christian Religion:
Next come Pastors and Teachers, with whom the Church never can dispense, and between whom, I think, there is this difference, that teachers preside not over discipline, or the administration of the sacraments, or admonitions, or exhortations, but the interpretation of Scripture only, in order that pure and sound doctrine may be maintained among believers
@rldlol are you a naturalist or super naturalist? if you are the later, your question is invalid!

If only Holy Scripture is to be considered inerrant then does that mean that those who decided what is to be considered Scripture could have erred?

Both Catholic and Protestant churches encourage the faithful to read the Bible.
,
But - where in the Bible does it say that INTERPRETATION is a "private" matter?
.
Scripture says the opposite (2 Peter 1:20)!
