A group of enthusiastic singers, mostly from Orcas Island (WA), and also from San Juan Island (WA), Seattle (WA), Sydney (BC, Canada) and Mexico, gathered on Orcas Island on October 24, 2009, to participate in the International Day of Climate Action organized by 350.org, to bring attention to the need to bring CO2 levels in the atmosphere down to 350 parts per million from the current 387 ppm, and to make a statement to world leaders to make the necessary commitments to achieve this goal at the next U.N. climate meeting in December. Sponsored by Irthlingz (www.irthlingz.org). Singers conducted by Sharon Abreu. You can listen to the song "The Balance" at www.PenguinsOnThinIce.com.
