here's the demo video of the triggers

http://www.youtube.com/user/andy15m374l
check out this guy's vids for more on triggers. He also has a cool band, you should go check them out.

Also, Andy15m374l is right as rain when he says you have to bring the beater back to get nice even strokes. When you're going fast however, you're not going to bring the beater back ALL the way...that's just not economical and can't really play at speeds like 250-260 like that.

You can also keep the pedal pressed against the head with these triggers. There is a slight danger of the copper hammer "feathering" the trigger and putting out multiple bass hits. If you can keep your pedal stable against the head, you're good to go.

  • Where can I get my hands on a pair of these? And how much do they cost? I've been ravenously searching for a place to buy these.

  • @q34r34t The pedals or the triggers? You can buy both from Axis's website

  • Does it work the same for the Al2's?

Like setting it up and shit? Cause there is two springs there man. Next to each other.

Answer back asap if you can. Cause i know someone who is selling them to me and he needs to know by Wednesday. Cheers

  • @assassin1161 hey man, thanks for the comment. It does indeed work for the double pedal set up as well. You have to set up the trigger box on each individual pedal still just like in this video. Just do the exact steps in this video on both pedals and you should be good to go. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask :)

  • i can't find the hex key for the two screws you're doing at 2:11. i just got axis doubles and i want to take them off. i have a 16 set hex/sae set i bought but these damn keys don't fit. im going to have to take these pedals to like a hardware store to figure out wtf size it is. kinda pissed off

  • @HatchetSwinginDrumma A set of 16 should come with the right size...make sure to check them all

  • @F990 I mean the triggers. How much was it to get both? (Assuming they don't come in a pair.)

  • @F990 Wow! sorry for the original haste of the comment!

Fucking excellent. Works out sweet and i get my ekits next week.

    Thanks a bunch dude!

  • @F990 i took the pedal to home depot and tried all their hex keys. turns out it was a 9/64th key. i had bought a cheap 16 key set from walmart for $1 that didn't have this one. so, i paid $6 for the set that i only needed that one key for. oh well

  • If i buy the xl-2 the long board dp, do these work? And if theu do, do i need 2 seperate trigger boxes for each pedal?
