To start off, you could learn Allegro for C++. Its used for 2D game programming. If you want some 3D stuff, try SDL, OpenGL or DirectX. Good luck.

hmmm i've been programming since january or february 2008, but I haven't been doing it constantly nor have I done much research, but I do plan on changing that. I think once I learn graphics programming I'll be able to make games...but I'm not sure. Well anyways these vids are pretty cool, care to spare any tips?

Also, this guy is using Game maker. Notice the icon on the application. So he didnt program anything... -_-

yeah, you can. But GameMaker Script is not a "real" programming language. Its a scripting option in GameMaker. A REAL program would be coded in a REAL programming language, such as C++ or C#.
