@bigt060654 - At the time I made this film I also work for a biotechnology company, plus my downright hatred for the Bush administration played a role in how the story was conceived for the movie.

My main concerns when making the movie was to have an homage to two zombie-esque films, The Return of the Living Dead and Lamberto Bava's Demons. The weaponized nerve gas experiment came from working at the company and as part of the homage to ROTLD.

@crazyemodude1 - While I agree by todays standard lighting should be brighter, but the key idea was to resemble the 80's video nasties which did tend to be darker.
