It's not about the app, but the development process.

I have an MVP for you: a mirror.

How can you do the same with your phone? You can't see both pictures in the same screen...

Id be happy to build that system and then have people vote on which one was "more helpful".

Consumers buying decisions are psychological, there was a time when people would tell you a pet rock was helpful if you put a camera on them. How does this sound for helpful: building a digital system which allows stores to reduce floor-space, eliminate 99% of theft, allow consumers to share every aspect of the in-store experience on the web, have products sent to their home or pick them up already bagged at the door with a wave of the hand?

If it makes the buying decision for the user (aka the customer) easier, that is really that matters. Considering all of the ideas came from user feedback in store, I think those opinions are the only ones that matter.

what kind of drugs are people on in Nordstrom I wonder? that their short term memory sooooo bad that they cant hold 2 pairs of glasses in their hands, stand in front of a mirror, and remember what they looked like before they swap? lol. As a developer I prefer to think that this was not a constructive use of time, it is an example of a corp that has too much money and employees with too much time on their hands. In some ways, "good job LOL" in other ways "DOH" {homer simpson style}

You can't wear two pairs of sunglasses at the same time therefore a mirror doesn't allow comparison. Also when you're wearing sunglasses, the view through the tinted lenses means that you can not see what others see (ie colours), which is really the objective of spending time choosing a pair of sunglasses.

Don't know if they built this in, but would be a cool function to help you refine your choice: You take photos of, say, 15 pairs. The app then asks you to compare the first two. You click on one, say #2. Then you compare #2 to #3. #2 wins again. Then #2 to #4, #4 wins this time..... A super quick UX to get you to the buying decision. Similar process to an eye test, process of elimination.
