How to Unroot / Restore / Unbrick the Nook Color (PC Version)

Mac Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpdHS6CaQGc This video will demonstrate an easy way to unroot, restore, and/ or unbrick your Nook Color. This will bring your Nook Color back to the way it was when you took it out of the box. It'll be like nothing ever happened.

This particular video will restore you back to version 1.0.1, which can (and probably will) be updated to version 1.2.0 automatically within a few minutes of completion. Why 1.0.1? Because I'm more familiar with it, and have always used it.

Do this at your own risk, I am not responsible if your Nook Color gets messed up, blows up, or turns into GlaDOS. If that happens, continue testing. There will be cake.

IF YOUR NOOK COLOR WON'T BOOT: (aka 'bricked')

1) Insert microSD card to your Nook Color with everything in the video done.

2) If the device won't boot by pressing the power button, plug in the USB cable that came with your Nook Color. (Make sure it's plugged in a computer on the other end.)

3) After you plug it in, your Nook Color should boot up into ClockworkMod Recovery.

4) Follow the rest of the video. Your Nook Color should then be unbricked!

Win32 disk imager link is broken.

if you get the error formatting data you need to have the latest version of clockwork mod which is 3. 2. 0. 1 currently.. if you get to the install from zip and it says its (bad) then you need to go to the xda developers site and look for Dizzy Dens post on feb 22 and download the appropriate one for your needs. The 1st works for full restore to stock. this video tutorial is handy, he just needs to post the updated links

That's two of four files missing...is there another way to unroot that doesn't need those two?

The "Nook Color Restore File" link is dead. When you click it, you're told that the file/page does not exist. HELP! :)

I did everything correctly then when I got to turning on my Nook and going through the setup, I signed in but it said there was a problem and I had to restart it. please help?
