  • too bad parts are no longer made in the USA. First we get rid of manufacturing jobs for higher profits, then we get lower quality.

  • Yes, overseas buisness was one of the biggest mistakes the US ever made.

  • Never a better dishwasher was made! Their new stuff is crap though. When Whirlpool bought them, they cheapened the product so badly that they are now one of the WORST on the market.

  • Yeah, it's sad. A company has such a good reputation, then they sell and it goes downhill.

  • You have cool grandparents; they look like really nice people. But you made me feel OLD with this video. I am 34, and we had the exact same dishwasher when I was a kid. I remember thinking the little neon lights on the panel were fascinating. Actually, that dishwasher was one of the machines around the house that sparked my interest in all things mechanical. It's nice (and not surprising) to see one still in action.

  • That's cool! Yeah, my grandparents are a lot of fun to be with!

  • i have a semo old maytag portable with a chopping block top and it washes bttr than my brothers new one does,,i was stunned when he had to prewash his dishes before they went into the dishwasher i leave mine inside for a week and they come out spanky clean nps

  • My grandparents had one of these as well for about the same time and had to replace it somewhat recently only because the tub started leaking. It's amazing how many generations of my family grew up around that thing and probably pushed buttons on it! I don't know about current dishwashers being unreliable.. I have a GE that I've had for 11 years and it's still going strong with no issues.

  • My grandpa had one of these in his house.

  • the stated life of the new ones is seven years if you are a lucky son of a bitch. i had two new ones that lasted five years. twice a week? my dick gets used more than that.

  • Thumbs up if you hear The Wheel of Fortune in the background

  • Good old quality!. Today are the most things like poor Plastic shit :-(

  • @DanielJaegerFilms Is it a good dishwasher???

  • my great great grandma has a 8 year old Hot Point dishwasher in her house and it still works fine. They bought it way before I was born.
