you can also see how the officer reacts to the gun by blinding the guy giving him ehough time to dip out, then ultimately pulling out his own gun. the officer handled it nicely, well done

I think the only thing I can fault the officer on is that he continued to fire even after the car was out of close range. If he was in the boonies, then probably less chance of a problem, but if that was in a populated area, then that is a problem.

Not faulting him for returning fire, but just wondering where he was and if he should have stopped firing about halfway through his volley.

Holding stuff in your gun hand isn't good. But you know what, this officer looked like he was almost specifically trained for what just happened, -like that exact scenario. He did a very good job. 1. He ducked and got "out" of the line of fire. 2. He ran behind the suspect's vehicle, -that offered cover. 3. He dropped his flashlight and drew his firearm right away. 4. He needed to shoot, and didn't hesitate too. 5. He just did a good job! So happy you are safe!
