On the 9th of April, I travelled to Christchurch after being invited to go to Castle Hill jam. Due to some serious delays, it took me about 7 hours to get there. I was picked up by Andy and Damien.

The first day consisted of mostly relaxing and checking out some spots in Christchurch....Andy took us to the botanic gardens and the locals had a blast training in the trees. Awesome as this was to see (and try), being from the city I felt out of my league in this new environment. That night we had an evening training hosted by Ryan from Wellington (thanks for that!). It was very informative and great fun to boot.

Saterday morning we left for Castle Hill. I won't go into detail much as the video shows all but again...rocks...we don't have them in Holland so I had a difficult time adapting, but hey...who cares...the area is just SO amazing! We camped out somewhere at a small creek...Andy proved to be a real outdoor expert with his professional kit and provided us with an awesome dinner.

That night the temperature decided to drow below zero and sleeping was hard when everything sticking out of your sleeping back felt like an icicle. Feeling quite broken, the next morning showed us that it was going to be a beautiful day and after breakfast, breaking down out tents, and freshing up we left for Flock Hill (another hill with boulders just up the road).

Somehow my muscle ache from the week before returned after friday's training which gave me difficulty training well on saterday so on sunday I decided to just chill and spend time enjoying the scenery, the movement of the other people and get my camera out more often. Again, a great day in a great place!

After lots of awesome jumps, we headed back to Christchurch. That night we just took it easy at Andy's place with a couple of beers and a good meal. After much-deserved rest, the morning came early as my bus left the city at 7.30.

After saying my goodbyes to Andy (Sorry guys, you all looked so cute sleeping...I didn't wanna wake you), my trip officially ended and Dunedin was my next destination...

I want to thank all the guys I met in Christchurch and trained with on Castle Hill. It was an awesome experience! Special thanks go out to Andy for being so kind to let me stay at his place, take care of the food, and everything else! That was the best!

I hope you enjoy the video!
