Car Forces Train to Stop

A lady crosses in front of a train TWICE, forcing them to stop. It happened at an intersection that is crossed diagonally by the railroad. All of the flashing lights were working appropriately, as well as the horn and bells. She appeared to believe the train was coming from the more visible opposite direction. When she crossed the first part, it wasn't as close a call, but the second was enough to force the engineer to hit the brakes, as well as invoke an audio response from me. Happened at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Vinyard Street in Anderson, IN. I was there recording the crossing lights. I'm a collector of traffic lights and railroad signals, and am a fan of this certain signal that says NO LEFT TURN just above the STOP sign.

Wow. The reason it looked like it stopped so fast was that the train applied the emergency brake as soon as the moron crossed the track the first time. I know there are a lot of stupid people, but that person has got to be up there as one of the dumbest.

Just curious, is the train the thing you were trying to record in the first place or were you making a video of something else and the train come??
That is one odd intersection. Why don't they install the arms that come down? especially in a rural area.

@Smokie181, the crossing signals. I knew the train was coming and am interested in crossing signals. This one has a type I like that says NO LEFT TURN.

Seriously she didn't hear that train horn and still stopped? WOW...I mean I get startled when people blow those loud horns on their cars much less a train horn lol
