http://www.xorcom.com - Asterisk® PBX appliances implementing VoIP telephony with Asterisk® and the Elastix distribution. Open source IP PBX hardware solutions include FXS, FXO, BRI, E1/T1 PRI & R2 telephony interfaces. This video demonstrates how to use two disaster recovery utilities from Xorcom: Xorcom Rapid Recovery (backup and restore utility) and Xorcom Live Rescue (bootable disk-on-key that bypasses the hard disk to operate the PBX until maintenance can be scheduled).
jiggabyte? No. It's 'gig a byte'. 4 gigabyte. Nice system!

no other simple way to backup or other method that it wont cost you much?
grimlord5654 1 year ago
@grimlord5654 Actually, this backup and restore utility is very inexpensive -- only $69 retail! That's hardly a lot to pay for the confidence that you can get your PBX up and running in a minute or so...

but the fail part of this video is that a system can be as big as 50 gigs and the usb drive would fail due to lack of space!

Actually, the Rapid Recovery software not only backs up the PBX, it also compresses the data. A basic Elastix installation occupies about 1.5 GB on the hard disk, and the backup image created by Rapid Recovery occupies only 500 MB on the USB stick, so there is plenty of room!
