This is beautiful. I like the original, but this one really made me sad.

I'm quite a big fan of Nicky's voice. I love JDB as well, obviously. The only benefit of Nicky is that you can ALWAYS tell exactly what he's saying. This is just not the case with JDB!

The chorus on the album version wrecks it a bit, and JDB mangles the best line "Kind people should never be treated like flies". My favourite line anyway.

I love this demo

I find Nicky's voice to be an acquired taste. I don't hate the demo version but give me James Dean on the Album version any day. But I agree Nicky's voice does have that melancholy tone that Richey probably intended for the song when he was writing it.

Sorry but I actually adore Nicky's voice. He isnt a "shite singer" he just has a different way of vocalising the lyrics. This one sounds more real if you understand what i mean :)

Crap get over it. Album version is class though.

He may not be a good singer in the classical sense, but his voice fits perfectly on this melancholical rendition of an already extraordinary song.

I don't think so, Nicky's voice may sound weird but I find it beautiful and I kind of like this song better with him on vocals instead of the 'official' version
