I really regret that she never did the 3 Donizetti Queens in her prime. In spite of the "cluckatura" of her coloratura ...she could negotiate high notes only like Callas and Sutherland. Hearing some of her "pirated recordings" - specifically Norma and Armida - you get a new appreciation for La Deutekom! There is no one know with the capabilities of these three ..and thy wee almost all contemporaries.

@NEBESHIKU This was actually recorded long after her retirement and she did it more so for her fans. Of course the voice is not as wonderful as it was in her prime but ....
