In this video I wanted to let everyone out there know that there is some really cool gear that was just released. This is a unit that I just love to use and you have already heard it, but didn't know it. Its pretty cheap and easy to integrate into your keyboard rig for church, live performance, and especially in the studio. Check it out and see what you think.

  • Question, can I use the vb99 bass synth with it?

  • @AngelM158 You should be able to do it. Since the V-Bass uses midi, the VP7 should be able to hookup to it pretty easily. Make sure you are able to try it out to make sure, but I am pretty sure that it will work fine. Good luck! -Ed.

  • I would like to see it in a real studio situation with a R& B or PoP singer. I'm not impressed with all the old church and Take 6 crap they could have kept that off and focused on the harmony and studio use of the unit I don't see making a hit record with the wives of Dracula doing the background.

  • @Marcusblade Your comments are so harsh. I wish I could show it to you in the studio, but many of the top artists that I have seen use it in the studio on their recordings do not allow anyone to take video of their studio sessions. I have personally seen it used in a muliti-million dollar studio and I promise you that it is used in the studio and on tour by some really high profile hip hop artists. Instead of trashing the gear, learn it so you can use it to its full capability. -Take care, -Ed.

  • Hi

I have just brought the roland fantom g 7 and the vp7 and sonic

The roland has only one midi out which is into the roland sonic how do i send an out to the vp7 ?

    Thanks

  • @bobbykayuk Go MIDI out from the Fantom G in to the MIDI IN on the Sonic Cell. From the Sonic Cell go MIDI out into the VP-7. Make sure that the Sonic Cell is on MIDI channel 2 and the VP-7 is MIDI channel 1. This is probably the best way to hook up, but why are you hooking them together. There is nothing wrong in doing so, but I just want to get a little more backgound information on what you are trying to accomplish.

    Take care,

    -Ed.

  • cool,thanks4upload:)

a pity it dosnt have a memory+more presets, most synths only have1MIDI,so if a splitter will work4more connections will it lose clarity?u need do most adjusting with the synth, which we do anyhow, its from the v-synth models,im hoping i dont need2buy a v-synth with a drum pad or a fantom g-8 with this or1that has a bit more2offer.

And that Roland will soon release a model that has the drum n recording functions ov the g-8 with the vocal's ov the v-synth:)thats what im looking4

  • is it the same vocodor sound that NB ridaz used?

  • that synth is so fun i play it in the mall all the tym

  • Great review! Thanks! I'm thinking of buying it, but have 2 questions I hope you can answer: 1. Will it work with a V-accordion? I mean, will it recognize the chords from the bass notes in the accordion? and 2. I would like to use it together with the BK-7m, but the BK does not have MIDI out. Will it work with a MIDI splitter? Thank you!

  • Thanx a lot for your perfect explanation. I think I'll try this product with the FantomX6!

  • I purchased the vp7 two weeks ago and I love it. The vp7 has helped me so much on lead and background vocals but I'm continuing to get familiar with it's capabilities in actual recording. I recommend the roland vp7 for professional and beginners. If

you think I'm just trying to promote the vp7;well just listen to HHJ band on ReverbNation or Myspace...3 songs I've used the vp7 on; What If, You're Not Alone and She's One Of A Kind........Check it Out...........

  • Thanks Ed. Great demo.
