  • @hobbysteamjoe Yes the model is 5ft long and weighs approximately 50lbs. The hull is carved from a solid piece of yellow pine, which with the large plant installed means it is a heavyweight, but is typical of the models produced pre-war. The engine is 7/8" bore and drives a pair of 3.5" dia (approx) contra-rotating props, through a gearbox. Boiler is 4" x 12" water tube boiler (with steam blower), feed by a donkey pump and fuelled by a large petrol blow lamp.

  • Really exciting boat. Is it really a 50 pound five foot long boat with a single cylinder 7/8 bore engine?  Man it really runs great. Love your video!
