DeAndre Cortez Way, aka Soulja Boy, is rocketing up the Twitter charts on news of his arrest for possession of drugs and unregistered firearms.
The 21-year-old rapper best known for his hit "Crank That" was in a car that was pulled over in Georgia for a broken tail light when officers detected a strong odor coming from the vehicle. Police reportedly found tens of thousands of dollars in cash and around five ounces of pot in the car along with weapons.
TMZ reports Soulja Boy was supposed to be promoting his new documentary, Soulja Boy: The Movie, on the day of his arrest. Soulja Boy posted $10,000 bail and thanked his fans who waited for him outside the Temple, Ga., jail.
