tim is good, he is a guitar glue of the band though stoned in those sunglasses, i witnessed it when they covered cortez the killer with Warren at the gorge last summer,

@austin78993 I agree with you on the Tim Reynolds thought, Tim is like having an uncomfortable uncle or cousin invited to dinner. You have to love him but some how he doesn't fit. And well Leroi...I have nothing to say there, DMB can't be with out sax, so J.Coffin is doing a pretty good job there. But the Bass has always been killing me on DMB. I am a bass fan and S.L. is doing pretty much nothing for the band. No magic. When you have magic on the bass...Pfffffff!!!

@yonpolite i love when he plays with them ocassionally, but a band is like a team. If you have too much individual talent, sometimes it isnt as good as having great chemistry. jeff coffin is in the band right now and clearly he is one of if not the best sax player in the world, but i think leroi and the original line up sound the best. I also think tim renoylds doesn't really fit the band imo

@MarkHarrellJr i agree to some extent, but just because you arent smiling doesn't mean you arent loving every second of it. I love drumming I just get so locked in when i play that i can't really crack a smile. But i feel what you're saying i love to see people visibly enjoying themselves when they play.

two masters of their respective crafts layin' it down. mad respect for these two.

@LeoTadde ive seen lefties do that if theyre playing a normally set up drum set
-
awesome !

@ctdjazz According to what I've always heard and known, open-handed playing is when you lead with your left hand on a right-handed setup or viceversa, nothing more...

NO OFFENSE TO STEFAN LESSARD BUT IF V.WOOTEN WOULD PLAY WITH DMB, DMB WOULD HAVE AN EVEN WAY MORE AMAZING PUNCH!
WOOTEN COULD BRING SO MUCH MORE TO THE BAND. LESSARD IS JUST PLAYING THROUGH AND NOT MAKING MISTAKES...BUT WOOTEN IS MAKING MAGIC!
These guys are real musicians. Not those MTV idiots

You see? The problem with music today is that not enough musicians can smile while jammin...music with no joy has no soul...I love seeing their happy faces!
