  • travel further = pay more

  • how will they know?

  • It's called honesty....

  • Wait!- What if you forgot your wallet, but didn't realize it until you've reached your destination? Would you be arrested, or something?

  • All Japanese bus drivers are samurai trained and carry "untenshi" katakana at their sides.

  • I wish I saw this video before I went to Kyoto in 2004. The bus driver didn't speak English and I didn' speak enough Japanese. I just threw about 500 yen into the top slot and the bus driver got a little flustered... I wasn't until I saw this video that it all made sense... Live and learn I guess.

  • yeh, i'm just used to paying one fixed price for the bus journey no matter how long or short the journey is.

do they do day or monthly passes like in the UK?

  • i want to ride a japanese bus to XD,but what happend if you don't pay?is thatbus driver looking and paying atention to the persons when they pay?

  • i used to pay for the bus it was 1.50 no matter the distance unless i had to get on another one!

xD i rather pay for what i ride

  • The same thing as not paying for a meal you've eaten, or for a haircut you've just gotten...
