  • You simply will never see better acting ever, anywhere, than Geraldine Page from :20 to 4:15.

  • "My Walter was as tough as a bar of steel, and he didn't get that from his father".

Mom didn't play. I felt sorry for her, though. Walter was all she had.

  • @MJLatora Geraldine Page was awesome in this. But I have a soft spot for the aerobics class scene. Something about a room full of beautiful women in leotards appeals to me.

  • @taypar11 You're absolutely right when you mention how talented Sissy Spacek is. But BADLANDS wasn't her first movie. Her first film appearance was in a movie called PRIME CUT from 1972. If you haven't seen that, I highly recommend that you check it out.

  • @taypar11

    OK, thanks for the info.

  • A lot of people don't know this, but Ms. Page was married to actor Rip Torn who was a cousin to actress Sissy Spacek. Torn was from Taylor, Texas, Spacek was from Quitman, Texas. When she wanted to act in 1972, Torn and Page were heavyweights on Broadway. Spacek was as lucky as she was talented. Check out her first movie, l973's BADLANDS with Martin Sheen and Warren Oates. Proof that who you know or are related to CAN be a door opener in acting, writing and singing.

  • When youo watch Geraldine Page in a character role you do not even know it is her on the screen. It is a real character being filmed. What A great actress. The greatest. I still miss her more than anyone can k now. Thanks for this post.

  • @torr59622 -----LM@O with the dialogue for that scene....aaaaaaaaaah old ny.

  • @MJLatora "...You wanna FIGHT officer...?". She should have won the Oscar for supporting that year. Woman from " A Passage to India" won. No contest.

  • Talisa Soto @ 5:34

  • Hannah's rant to him was essentially very true. A lot of NYers and others just did not want to hunker down and be fully honest. I was one of the mixed breed and paid the price. Think about it, people. It never leaves you unless you are as open about it as I have been. Oh, and I kept one foot solid in straight, always. Retired. Go for it. Square, but very good advice. Crime does not pay. Really. Save up for your shrink bills! And all the disapproval, the suspicion.

  • One of my favorite movie scenes.
