i tried to make up a new song with multiple chord changes and key changes and then tried to follow it in the improvisational parts with simple triads and chord tones.

  • @notpopebuthope thank you. i, too, have played mostly pentatonic and maybe some major scale licks over everything i played for the past 30 years! i am now trying to play specifically over the chord chages so even if there is no rythymn track, you can still hear the chords that are implied in the improvisation. i am still not real good at it, but there is some hope. it is fun, and i plan to record all the songs i know in this style eventually. i just need 30 more years. ha ha.

  • So cool! This one is really different in sound & style! GREAT work, Adam! Good to hear something new ... look at me - allways 99% pentatonic ... hahaha! Beautiful gold-shine and zebra-pick-ups on your guitar! CHEERS!
