I'm not sure that the religous people believe in God because they need a set of rules. Religion has been fucked up. Christianity has been turned right-wing and predjudice and extremist Muslims are going crazy but I don't think that means that there is no God.

I believe that Jesus is Lord. But I wouldn't say that I'm religious. Because it's a harsh label really, with lots of shit attached to it. Being religious means laws and homophobia and dreary ceromonies.

You know the igniter of the Enlightment and the father of physics , Issac Newton , was a very very pious men. If Newton were alive today, he probably be regconized more as an evangelical christianity than a physicist. Muslims in the 8th century were inspired by the scripture in the koran to conduct science experiments. Less not be hasty and say the absense of practicing a religion equals having a logical and reasonable mind. Many people do irrational things who are not religious.

I think Christianity will die out without the next 3 to 4 generations, at least in the Western world. But religions like Islam aren't going to go anywhere anytime soon.

Howeverwhat I have is a relationship with God. And that's it.

I started out, like you said, believing in God but then thinking fuck it, he does nothing for me.
