Sage words indeed. Welcome, wayfarer, to another edition of Amateur Extension Theater 2000. I'm your nostalgic host, Alkahest.

Few games have echoed across time quite like Chrono Trigger; appropriate, as the main premise of this classic SNES RPG was time travel itself. 'Manoria Cathedral' remains one of my favorite compositions from Yasunori Mitsuda; heard in the eponymous cathedral, and during a very tragic scene involving a self-sacrificing character, it is an emotional melody.

This version was produced for Chrono Trigger Remake. Remix artist bLiNd did an excellent job here; it retains all the power of the original, while simultaneously adding a new depth to it. I especially love the intermittent chorus heard throughout; it really suits the piece remarkably well.

I suppose that's all I have to say. Y'know, I'd try and close with a joke or something, but music like this inevitably brings out the serious side in me. Well, I'll leave you to enjoy this wonderful music; as for me, I've got to hurry on to the next video. It's showtime at the Little Lip Theater in New York City, and the performer is none other than... a cowboy samurai? Should be interesting!
