These days it seems like the only honest people are libertarians and democratic socialists.
Big difference in their aims, but they are both against corruption and both against unnecessary wars.

@hellboundmatt Yeah I know right. We can't let people be free and make their own decisions.

backwards idiot who didn't pay attention for 20 years before. This delusion that 100% laissez faire and no regulation can work in a magical happy land is just as moronic as Marxism.... Libertarians are such a joke

Afterwards, Nixon took over the GOP ship and put into practice all that Goldwater abhorred about US politics...

Moral responsibility means voting against the Civil Rights Act, doesn't it Barry? Hypocrite and sham. Destroyed in a record landslide in 1964. Shattered his party and allowed Nixon to take it over. Scandal there Barry? Look past the rhetoric, and see what this line of thinking led to. Goldwater enabled everything he fear-mongered about to come to pass.

I believe Barry Goldwater's idea of Moral Responsibility, was that people should have the Individual Freedom. To live their own lives as they see fit as long as they are not hurting anyone else with their freedom. And then be held accountable for all of their actions good and bad.

Really nothing has changed in 47 years, has it.

Your right he's a Democratic Socialist which is different
-
Sen. Bernie Sanders who's an admitted Democratic Socialist, Rep. Dennis Kucinich where its hard to tell the difference between him and Sen. Sanders. And the House Progressive Caucus.
Timely...and fitting..and true.
