Police Quest is a game worth checking out if you are the type who likes old adventure games.

They can be slighty frustrating due to the difficultly level.

Playing these games without a walk-thru of some sort is pretty hard also.

@bushwacker1989 It won't work on XP or anything newer unless you use a DOS emulator to run the game. The one most people use is Dosbox (do a google search for it).

hey can you help me out i have them on 4 cds but when i try to open up the disk it give me this message,.. the version of this file is not compatible w/the version of windows your running. check you computers system info. to see whether you need an x86(32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program, then contact the software publisher.........and yea i have no idea how to get around this im running windows 7 . any help will be much apprehended

Thumbs up if you got disappointed / had mixed feelings when you found that in Police Quest 4:

1) There was no Sonny Bonds or Lytton City Police Department.

2) Jim Walls did not design the game.

3) It looked totally different from the rest of the series.

4) Your 386 computer coughed up a bit to run it properly.

Ironically this game isn't that realistic. And no I don't mean because it's really really lo- res. :P

It isn't that realistic because the things that Carey does at the end make no sense. He charges into the suspects home without calling for backup? Come on even in PQ3 you have to get warrants and shit.

@DKongfreak i might sound kind of a noob, but who's Jim Wall? anyways, Daryl Gates was LAPD chief. he created the concept of SWAT, and he was around as law enforcement evolved. so, i think he knew what he was doing, as far as the technical stuff is concerned. he's just as good, if not better than Jim Wall. again, that name doesn't sound familiar, except from the games.

You need some need of note-taking paper while playing these games. They tell you some codes you might forget to remember.
