it's the Ruckus 55mph+!!!

Video of me riding my Honda Ruckus. Wanted to show that 50mph+ was obtainable. Please do not sweat me like some TR FFF's and second guess speeds due to angle, weather, sea level, nationality, satellite trajectory, etc... I just wanted to show that this is possible and without huge mods. Running PC20 (stock BOWLS jetting, untuned), Yosh Tricone, BSS Posh CDI, and Polini variator (yellow weights). Again I dont mean this video to be the "end all" just wanted to throw a demo up... P.S. "WillyPopper" eat ah....

I'm thinking about getting the Polini variator as my first upgrade. Is it necessary to get the CDI in conjunction?

no... not necessary however without a CDI you will be limited in terms of top speed. so you can either get a variator to get better accelleration (lighter weights) or you can get heavier ones to get better top end, but like i said if you want top end then you will need to get a CDI.

your crazy, my foot in my mouth? bigger spark requires means more fuel, more fuel means less gas... anything you make faster will ALWAYS reduce gas efficiency. AIR -> Fuel -> Spark. Thats how a four stroke engine works genius. You can not make a Ruckus do 55+ and get better gas consumption than stock remmeber its a Ruckus not a Hybrid.

What mods do you have done? Did you change the piston size? I would like to make my ruckus faster but I don't want the increased fuel consumption that comes with stroking/bore

Saying you want to go fast but are worried about fuel consumption shouldn't go in the same sentence. It makes no sense, if you are worried about gas buy a bike.

Mods are: PC20, Posh Ignition Coil, Posh CDI, Iridium Spark Plug, Polini Variator.

@artdoesart wow, you are fucking stupid. anything to increase efficiency will yield more hp while using the same or less amount of fuel. Not all the fuel introduced into the combustion chamber is burned... so by decreasing waste again you gain hp, fuel economy and still lesson raw consumption. You should learn about bsfc and ve before you open your mouth again.

Sweet vid!!! So what year is your ruckus? I have a 2005 with BB 2008 motor that does over 50mph as well. Also how long it take for you to get up that fast?
