Jerry Agar travels down to Beverley Street (which runs parallel to University Avenue) to see the traffic jam of bikes to the degree that they require two dedicated full lanes so close by.
Jerry Agar airs live weekdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm

Provide infrastructure for cycling, and people will use bicycles. This video isn't representative though, I would expect; there were hardly any cars! I could shoot the same video and make the case that the road should be closed down altogether and turned into a parking lot because there were more parked cars than moving ones. Come on Jerry - people are smarter than this.

how many people ride bikes? like 1 out of 100, because of mcguinty our auto insurance has to pay for bad cyclists who cut out into traffic and cause the accidents.

The whole intent of the PROPOSED 10 WEEK TRAIL of separated Bike Lanes on University Ave. was to get people to feel safe enough to start using the route. Agar missed the point and twisted it hard - what a dick!

No one is driving along Beverley, why would they be bicycling then?

Whether or not he's right about bike lanes being a bad idea, this is an ineffective argument to his point. It's like doing a study representing all Canadians based on a 3 person sample from Nanaimo, BC.
