  • What does that thing shoot?

  • An explosively-formed penetrator

  • What I'd like to know is if the vehicle is reusable after being fired...

  • @BlacktailFA @BlacktailDefense

Troll much? Take it easy Sparky.

Although it may not be cost effective, in reality, the US is more effective than any other force.

So if you look at the repercussions of losing a war; perhaps it is all worth it?

The effectiveness of the Virginia's and F-22's will show in future wars, that is for sure.

Maybe you should acknowledge Russia's major problems with the Lada class, the fact that no other country has viable carriers, and the many other non-US flaws?

  • EASY to make. Easy. The computer tracking system would be a little hard, but the ballistic device is very easy.

  • @brinca1nareia yes, it doesnt ask any questions , thats a big advantage, now shut the fuck up.

  • It waits years for a tank to roll on by?

  • anyone knows the tactical advantage of this system?

its only experimental right? i mean, does it have a purpose?

this thing only works in close range! Shaped charges and EFPs constitute the warhead of many diferent types of ordnance, which are destroyed in the process..

The Disposable Vehicle concept sounds silly..

Maybe 'cause im not seeing the big picture , here..

does anyone know more about this? actual purpose?

  • @MrIwantmyownname I apologize, but it is you who is incorrect. An EFP does not go anywhere near 18,000 fps. That's the speed of a shaped charge for which you might be confusing. And yes, you could call it a 12 pound copper plate if you are being informal.

  • That's so retarded that it gets destroyed. All they need to do is put the efp on a stand and have the vehicle drop off the stand as the enemy approaches. Then through radio frequency, the stand can be adjusted to the target and fire. Well, obviously there would some draw backs. Of course you could get fancy and put a automated laser targeting system on the efp and launch the efp up like bouncing betty. It may need some gyroscopic stabilization.. maybe that vehicle's dirt cheap.

  • @andykop0615 a pellet

  • @444marines But you dont have to risk your ass to place the fire ant, with this one guy could send them out from the safety of a vehicle or a bunker. They have these things that are used like insurgence's use EFP's for and most modern one's are EFP's, there called anti tank mines and EFP's are not made in houses in Iraq (they can be assembled) but the parts come from Iran. If you mil out the metal concave plate even a tiny bit wrong it wont form the penetrator properly and wont work at all.

  • @andykop0615 babies mostly.
