  • YZ-834B is older than Optima Mid or Cat. YZ-834B won lots of races during 1985-1986 but didn't after 1987 because those belt drive cars were launched. Then YZ-870C was debut in IFMAR 1987.

  • @sigsputnik vote this one up! Every video always has that crap death metal!

  • So good to see a video with a good soundtrack and not some ridiculous thrash metal.

  • thank you so much for this video...awesome- great stuff...truely a joy to watch..amazing that old fighter still did so well..

  • @thegoodbear1 Actually, in 1986 I believe, Optimas (chain-driven) took 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10th place at the ROAR Nats. They also took 8 out of 10 places (including first) at the European Championships, and 1st in the SCORE Open Class. Look it up--I have a Tower Hobbies catalog for 1987 and it says so there. Page 31. :)

By comparison, this Yoke looks blocky, bullish, and blunt. It's not a very pretty car, IMHO. :)

  • I love the Dogfighter. But I dont understand how a chain car could have won so many championships back in the days? As the Turbo Optima Mid and Cat xl were belt and pretty much more competitive?

  • Very nice! Got my YZ-843 almost ready to go, just need to replace the front one-ways and add electronics.

  • Man that's preeety slick espically for a car that is 25 years old. Awesome and I always wanted one but decided to go for the later model the YZ876C and got the first car into the UK and it was great taking many scalps on the way. Finally in the process of restoring that car now.

Will be fitting a brushless system in the future.

  • classic kit!!!!

  • i got the Asia version
