The new Santa Rosa-based 15" LED-lit LCD screen MacBook Pro (SR MBP) has a widely reported screen defect, in which noticeable yellow tint is exhibited at the bottom of the screen. This issue is more commonly known as the "bottom 1/3 screen yellowish" syndrome. This problem affects mostly screen panels that are manufactured by Samsung (code 9C68 shown in default colour profile), with more complaints coming from the glossy screens.
I have taken a photo of the MacBook Pro screen showing a test image using my DSLR. This particular test image shows a comparison of a section of the screen from the top against a section from the bottom.
