Following on from first video, I copied this cell from ZeroFossilFuels and then "tweeked" it a little, thanks Zero!
It seems to work well, 2LPM looks like 8.93MMW not too shabby for a first attempt.
Now on to the production version, "The Full Monty".

  • Well done, Grasshopper!

  • Hi Zero,

Thanks, but I thought it was Glass Hopper!

Any way I was doing some more playing today and at first could only get 1L in about 44 seconds

Then I realized what I had changed, and that told me why this cell works so well.

I am going to play some more tomorrow and try and confirm my idea's and do a video.

  • Nice job and numbers. What was the cell temp?

  • Probably about 150 F, I bought a thermometer today and thats what it was showing.

  • That's a lot of gas!

I'm very interested in your cell design and how you put it together. I'd like to get the pics too. I've made nearly a dozen different generators and none of them came close to yours.

    Congrats.

  • Great Job. Really good numbers, I'm curious as to how you increased production so much with the tweaking! I've got two of these cells in the works and have a few ideas to reduce the leakage current. I hope they come out as good as yours! Great job

  • Fair enough. There are though some borg like data freaks out there (yes d3adp001, I'm talking about you ;) ) who like nothing more than to number crunch. And you've gone better than anyone else so far, so expect some scrutiny :)

I replied to your private message shortly after my comments above with my email in. I look forward to receiving the pics.

It certainly was good to hear from you with this news though, I'm extremely happy :)

  • Hi Stu,

Well it's not a fake, The bottle is 1 Litre, there is a small air pocket at the top, which is why I wait till the gas escapes the bottle to call it a litre.

I am not so concerned my self with absolute #'s down to decimal places, my goal is the mileage #'s

I use distilled water with enough Sodium Hydroxide to give me around 20A cell hot.

As to my "tweeks" if you want to let me have an email address I'll send you the still shots of the design/construction details.

  • ...If the bottle you're using holds 1 litre (please check that also) then it will of course be bigger because the 1 litre mark will be below the brim. Minus the amount of air already present in the bottle (from resting on tube).

Also, tell whether you used distilled water, what electrolyte has been used, and how much.

And lastly, please also tell what you have done, if anything, to make it so efficient.

Congratulations though! I look forward to your next presentation :)

  • Hello mate.

If this isn't a fake, and your numbers are correct, then this is the most efficient cell I've ever seen! Well done!

Now you have reached this level though pressure must now be applied for more accurate readings.

Adjust the amp meter to give a decimal point if you can. And use a stop watch if possible to record the exact time taken.

You should also measure the exact quantity of gas produced...
