Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony- Queen of Sheba Restaurant Spokane

This video represents a mini version of a very elaborate and culturally rich ceremony. This coffee ceremony has very specific guidelines much as the traditional tea ceremony in Japan has.

Queen of Sheba Restaurant, Spokane is a wonderful place to take a few friends to a coffee ceremony and share a communal meal eaten in the traditional fashion where you eat with your hands from one platter... having said that, the usual utensils and individual plates can be provided on request.

Ethiopia as you may know is the country where coffee originates and connoisseur of coffee will tell you that it is 'gold' in your cup.

The owner, Almaz is a native of Ethiopia and takes great pleasure in introducing new comers to the cuisine as well as it's customs.

I have had this coffee and the ethiopian tea served by the owner. Not only does it have a great taste but the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. You won't be disappointed.
