This is what I don't get. Nummelin is probaply the best d-man in finnish hockey, and we got someone like Salo playing in the NHL. Why the hell isn't Nummerlin playing there? He moves like a forward, plays the best goddamn powerplay I've ever seen and has a great shot. The Finnish national team should have gotten in so much trouble without him.
Ok, he lacks size, what is, IMO the only thing why they let go of him.

He did 20 points in 50 games the first season and played only 27 games, with 9 points last season. Why didn't you let him play..20 points in 50 games is a solid performance when talking about defenceman.

@FINtroija he plays in HC Lugano, chara and other guys dont play there, thats why i said he is maybe the best player in the league.. and hell yea i know a lot of NHL Players who are better than him, stamkos, lidström, st.louis etc

@FINtroija ok... He is amazing but no way does he top players like Lidstrom, Chara, Weber, Keith, Green, Seabrook, Kaberle, or even someone like Yandle. He is easily all-star material, but best in the league?

I think Nummelin is the most underrated player in the world.. And in my opinion he is the best defender.. Im happy that he is finnish, ,ike me, and his wrist shot is sick :D and im sure he will be in the world championship again this year ^^ (like always)

nummelin back to nhl he's thhe best d-man in finland so what if he's small. He's very good skater it looks like hes flying in the ice and he got a very good wristshot and slapshot

That was for sure the loudest Wild game I have ever been to as well. It all started in the 3rd period and everything went our way after that
