OK, I have been a Yes fan forever and was a big Zep fan, but this does not hold a candle to solo Squire projects or to Yes. Who is Erik kidding thinking this would have paralleled Yes or Zep. It would have had a little FM play, a video on the long forgotten MTV and died.

@trfesok haha that's true!

Before Telephone Secrets the piece was Satellite from the Drama sessions. After Yes went on hiatus the song Squire developed the song into Telephone Secrets.
Yes never recreated this song. The only XYZ song they recreated was Can You See which was changed to Can You Imagine on Magnification

@jpirard Well said. This is just a very interesting peep into how the tunes evolved from as you said demos. Fascinating stuff!
-
@Topographic0ceans oh, ok thanks
-
@trfesok Yes, I've noticed from repeated listening that both Squire and Sting have a very phlegmy touch to their singing
-
@Luxmaxnike Erik here -- in the video description, as it says, the Yes version is called Song No. 4 (Satellite)... for me, it was released as a bonus track on the remastered Drama
-
@Luxmaxnike Satellite ( watch?v=lbWDCZS5JyY )

@EriktheHermit whats the name of the Yes version?

This would be huge.

Are you kidding me, this band would definitely have paralleled Yes or Zeppelin -- Yes failed terribly at recreating this song because XYZ was a magic of its own. I downloaded the whole jam session, and I loved everything I heard just as much as Yes and Zeppelin. Squire / White / Page was definitely a combo that should not have been abandoned just because Plant didn't want to join.

i would have loved to seen this project go through, while 90125 era yes was alright, i think it would have been better if squire and white pursued this band instead
