say,is it a big deal to crossing the border without passport control between those both countries?

Havent done that - but from the lenght and the wild area I would say it would be easy if you hire a boat. But the question is why do you want to do that? And when you go on somewhere you have to pass a border again and you would have some missing stamps that raise some questions I guess....
