In the remote sands of the Moroccan desert, a rifle shot rings out--detonating a chain of events that will link an American tourist couple's frantic struggle to survive, two Moroccan boys involved in an accidental crime, a nanny illegally crossing into Mexico with two American children and a Japanese teen rebel whose father is sought by the police in Tokyo. Separated by clashing cultures and sprawling distances, each of these four disparate groups of people are nevertheless hurtling towards a shared destiny of isolation and grief. In the course of just a few days, they will each face the dizzying sensation of becoming profoundly lost--lost in the desert, lost to the world, lost to themselves--as they are pushed to the farthest edges of confusion and fear as well as to the very depths of connection and love.

  • I don't think Arabs are depicted bad at all in this movie, besides the police, who probably are that savage and corrupt. The morrocan guy who helps out the American couple is shown as selfless and good natured. You're just being a touchy douche. What do you want? the film to depict Arabs in a completely glowing light?.

  • One of the greatest films I ever seen and this is an amazing trailer!

  • @HEAVYMETALSOUNDSTORE I agree!!!

  • TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN THIS MOVIE IS FOR INTELLIGENT BRAINS NOT DUMB ASS FUCKS

  • it was sickening to watch the poor old people get tortured!!!!!!

i wanted to kill that man.

  • here are people without cosmetic surgery, silverware, luxuries, good dentistry but they are contented and that tugged at my heartstrings. the tour guide and the japanese girl were my fave characters.

  • Most Americans feel so entitled, it's like get over yourselves.

i understood Pitt was in a quandry but he was so abrupt to the sitter; he wasn't bad tho otherwise he would've pressed charges.

the border patrol were sickening and god help me but i wanted to hit the little girl for saying "no" to the question.

the Japanese story was very touching, that poor girl is in sooo much pain. i believe that she was the one who wanted to jump off the balcony.

  • @mimito92 it did not make them look bad at all, it just showed us what's on the other side of all that good living & westernization - abject poverty and people eking out a living.

it also highlighted their humility, grace, selflessness & compassion despite their circumstances e.g. the tourguide.

i was touched, but the scene where the family was eating from one shared bowl and the tour guide's selflessness made it even more poignant.

  • this movie made the arabs look really bad , like is they were all very poor and living in deserts , no no no , why didn't the movie show us rich neighborhoods of Casablanca and Rabat and other cities , where lives moroccans in nice houses and drive expensive cars !!!!

  • @reasonableskeptic PERFECT, couldn't agree anymore!

  • Watched this movie some days back and hard not to feel touched by it. It's one of those movies that put current world society on the questioning desk. congratulations for all actors and the director. The movie deserved all prizes it won.
